One more thing I noticed,

on a x86 the kernel prints

usb 3-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 4

on the PS3

usb 1-2.1: new full speed USB device using ps3-ehci-driver and address 4

Does it matter, whether it is uhci_hcd or ehci?

This device is USB 1.

Cheers
