0x2050000 means:

  - 0x02 = SAM_STAT_CHECK_CONDITION
  - 0x05 (sense_key) = ILLEGAL_REQUEST
  - 0x00 (asc)
  - 0x00 (ascq)

Can you please #define DEBUG at the top of drivers/char/ps3flash.c, so we can
find out which request fails?

BTW, which PS3 model is this (CECH?)?
