Hello everyone,
I am currently in MSc in Embedded Systems. As a MSc project I would like
to try to port an existing real-time kernel to the Cell (probably µC/OS
II) and enhance it to be able to run processes on the SPEs.
My idea would be to preallocate the necessary memory for the processes
on the SPEs thus cutting short the delay when a new task is started.
The PPE should be only used for synchrnisation between tasks, hardware
access and scheduling.
I would like to know if some people are already working on this subject,
or are interested. I would be interested in exchanging ideas about the
subject.
Greetings
