Yes, I had just asked about the status of that patch on the mailing list,
and didn't want to include it before hearing back from Noguchi-san.
I'm rather disappointed by the lack of progress on the real solution
for this problem, but I guess the argument now is the same as back in
2.6.22 -- we can merge it now and then replace it with the better fix
in the next version.
