It's a style. In the style bar, just above the edit zone when editing a
mail, there's a popup on the left with pre-defined "styles" (defaults to
"Normal"). If a block of text is set to style "Preformat", then
Evolution applies no transformation (wrapping etc...) to that block of
text. Useful if you copy logs or insert patches in emails and don't want
be to be wrapped.

No hurry, it's just style and if you don't have time, the patch can go
in as-is imho. I'm quite happy that we got that bit fixed, it will help
on more than just Cell :-)
