Hello,
A kernel patch was submitted for comments today 
(http://www.uwsg.indiana.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0611.1/2490.html) 
that provides OProfile support for the Cell Broadbased Engine 
processor.  I will soon post a patch here that provides the userspace 
changes to OProfile that are necessary for Cell.  The patch was made 
against today's OProfile CVS, but it also applies relatively cleanly 
(just a couple hunks with offset lines) to the 0.9.2. release.
