[c-lightning] Running c-lightning on mobile

Hi and happy to join,
I am trying to understand what is required to be able to run c-lightning on mobile (more specific iOS).
As iOS does not support forks and spinning processes from within the application, It looks like the daemons are the biggest  and most immediate barrier to achieve this.
I would happily get myself into an incremental project of reducing the usage of daemons (or maybe abstract it for mobile) but before dong so, thoughts regarding this direction or references to previous discussions about this if exist are more than welcome.
