A customer using Spectrum Scale told us that openssl 1.02 is
required to support PPC HW encryption acceleration, but that is is
not part of Red Hat 7.3. On x86 it is.

We're not finding 1.02 on RHEL 7.3 for x86.. are you sure?
Someone knowledgeable checked and reported:
The latest version I can find on RHEL 7.3 is
1.0.1e-60.el7_3.1.x86_64.
As always, if there's a new release in play, with a beta, that's a
good thing to check into.
A Red Hat bugzilla search also found this.. which shows OpenSSL
1.0.2 being worked for 7.4 ...

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1276310

ps.. I went to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/

typed in openssl 1.0.2 in the search field, and of course got 450+
hits. But then searched on the web page for openssl 1.0.2, which
was just a handful.
