mplayer executing on the PPE is not powerful enough to play back
720p.<br>
with SPE support for mpeg2 decoding, scaling, etc. it is possible to
play<br>
back mpeg2 and h.264 video up to 1080p.<br>
unfortunately this support is not available in public.<br><br>
